Erskine Technology for the 21st Century

“Today's students could fail at life”, says Harvard's Tony Wagner, “because their schools are too busy teaching to the test”. We need to be preparing our students for the future in a digital world. Wagner highlights the following as important skills for today’s learners:
1. Problem-solving and critical thinking
2. Collaboration across networks and leading by influence
3. Agility and adaptability
4. Initiative and entrepreneurship
5. Effective written and oral communication
6. Accessing and analyzing information
7. Curiosity and imagination.

This series of goals is central to our design for a 21st century school. In combination with the ISTE/NETS Standards for teachers, students, and administrators, they will form the backbone of our blueprint for Erskine’s Technology initiative.
